    Alan L. Augulis

    Alan L. Augulis

    Attorney

    Alan L. Augulis founded his Warren, New Jersey law firm so that he could focus his practice in the areas of estate planning and elder law. Mr. Augulis has invested considerable time and energy helping to educate others on the topic of estate planning and has become a sought-after speaker in the estate planning and elder law arena because of his informative and entertaining seminars. Mr. Augulis works closely with other financial professionals in coordinating his clients’ financial plans, investments and tax planning with their estate plans. He is also certified by the State of New Jersey to teach Continuing Education courses to Financial Planners and Insurance Agents. In 2017 he co-authored the book The Ultimate Road Map to Estate and Legacy Planning.

    Mr. Augulis obtained his undergraduate degree in accounting and business administration from Seton Hall University, graduating magna cum laude and selected for membership in the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi honor societies for business and accounting. He was awarded his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law. Mr. Augulis went on to pursue graduate legal studies in tax laws, and holds a Master of Laws degree from New York University.

    Mr. Augulis is an active member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys and the New Jersey State Bar Association, including its tax, probate and estates, and elder law sections. Mr. Augulis is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the New Jersey Supreme Court.

    Mr. Swinton is an experienced estate planning and elder law attorney. He received his J.D. law degree at Pace University School of Law from which he graduated Cum Laude, as a Ranking Scholar and winner of the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Wills and Trusts.

    Mr. Swinton is a contributing author of two estate planning books: “Generations – Planning Your Legacy” (Esperti Peterson Institute 1999) and “Strictly Business” (Quantum Press 2002).

    In addition to his membership in the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), Mr. Swinton is a member of the American Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
